Initial consonant digraphs - Silent Letters and new sounds

In this unit students complete a variety of tasks that focus on 'kn', 'wr', 'gh' as initial consonant digraphs with silent letters and 'ph' and 'wh' as new sounds. Students identify the silent letter of each digraph or new sound in the context of a given word, write a short story using the focus words and illustrate some focus words.
