Each lesson plan in this 'Reciting poetry' series includes learning outcomes, success criteria, pre-lesson preparation notes, resources and a step-by-step learning sequence. In this lesson plan students learn to use techniques such as emphasis, tempo and pausing to enhance reading their poem out loud.
