Debating: Lesson plan 3

Each lesson plan in this 'Debates' series includes learning outcomes, success criteria, pre-lesson preparation notes, resources and a step-by-step learning sequence. In this lesson plan students will learn how to support their arguments with strong reasons. After a warm up discussion, students will learn about the different types of support they can use to back up an opinion! The lesson involves both group and class work, concluding with time for students to reflect on the lesson. A homework task is provided to give to the students for later.
