Reciting poetry: Lesson plan 3

Each lesson plan in this 'Poems' unit includes learning outcomes, success criteria, pre-lesson preparation notes, resources and a step-by-step learning sequence. In this engaging lesson students will learn to use expression when reciting poems. After an introductory YouTube clip, students will discuss and attempt using effective expression in their voice and face when reciting poetry. To conclude the lesson, students will self-evaluate their performance and learning. A homework exercise is also included for students to take away for later work.
