Reciting poetry: Lesson plan 4

Each lesson plan in this 'Poems' unit includes learning outcomes, success criteria, pre-lesson preparation notes, resources and a step-by-step learning sequence. In this lesson students will learn to perform a group recital. After an introductory discussion, students are presented with the task of reciting tongue-twisting poems. The teacher will then use the provided poem to conduct a group recitation. The lesson concludes with time for students to reflect on their learning, and a homework task is provided for students to take home for later work.
