Reciting poetry: Lesson plan 5

Each lesson plan in this 'Poems' unit includes learning outcomes, success criteria, pre-lesson preparation notes, resources and a step-by-step learning sequence. In this lesson students will learn to use effective movement to enhance their group choral recital. After a warm-up discussion, the teacher splits the class into small groups to practice reciting a group choral poem. Students are given the opportunity to perform in front of the class before taking time to reflect on their learning throughout the lesson.
